Kali was born in Mishawaka, Indiana in 1996. She is known for her work in the art department on OlympiaThe Rake, and The Pale Man, and also for Mr. Jingles, Obsession and Shadow Boxing as a director.

She started making movies at the age of fourteen when a classmate came to her for help with a class project. Plus she acknowledged the fact that Kathryn Bigelow was the only woman to win an Oscar for Best Director and used that to push her forward.

Kali graduated from DePaul University in June of 2018 where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film & Television with a Concentration in Directing. It was there that she used her talents as a filmmaker to produce videos as the Media Coordinator for Cru DePaul all four years, and as Technology Director for DemonTHON her Junior year. Kali also had the opportunity to participate in LA Quarter at DePaul, where she spent the Fall of 2017 in Los Angeles interning at Parkes + MacDonald, and attending classes on the lot of Sunset Gower Studios.

A MESSAGE FROM THE FILMMAKER

Everyday I strive to learn more about the industry. Yes, I am a writer and director but I also enjoy working in other departments such as camera, art, and editing. I believe that to be a good director you need to have a good understanding of all the departments that make a film happen and what better way to do that than to work hands on in that department? That's why I am open to any and all job opportunities because the more I work, the more I learn.
